Job Details Job Location Somerset - Somerset, NJ Description JOB OVERVIEW Responsible and Accountable for Supervising the shipping, receiving, inventory control, and distribution functions are performed in an efficient and effective manner. Leads and controls activities of company warehouse personnel. Front line supervision is an extremely important function for the company and positive interaction with the employees is critical. Leads the warehouse team on daily tasks assigned by management and takes precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss. Retains and reviews warehouse documents and reports. Conducts Warehouse operations in accordance with established procedures and policies and keeps management informed of Warehouse activities. Completes miscellaneous support functions and supports area personnel as required DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Warehouse Supervisor's key responsibility is to support the Warehouse Manager in the supervision of all warehouse associates and direction of warehouse operations. Oversee shipping & receiving, inventory, pick/pack of materials and FG shipments Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP Follow PIM Brands GMP rules Inventory evaluations, cycle counting and monitoring inventory Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMP's. Completes all shipping and receiving paperwork and transactions in WMS. Supervises all warehouse functions and maintaining inventory while ensuring the FEFO aspect Proactively working to resolve problems and address employee concerns in a professional manner Provides direction and proper motivation to leads and line employees to ensure the daily workload is completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Maintains a positive presence on the floor throughout the shift and promotes a team environment. Provides new hire and follow- up training for all employees. Evaluates work performance of personnel regarding promotions, absenteeism, commendations and disciplinary action. Communicates with other members of management and departments to ensure that goals are accomplished. Maintains a safe, clean work environment. Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and regulations regarding fire and other potential emergencies. Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location. Performs other duties as required. Ability to work additional hours as needed PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions. WORK ENVIRONMENT Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING BA or relevant work experience in distribution and warehousing 3 To 5 Years Warehousing Operations Supervisory Experience SAP Experience a must Excellent leadership skills Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities. Strong problem-solving skills Able to use all related maintenance equipment and computer applications. Attentive to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong Computer Skills and use of Microsoft Office Applications: Word and Excel Willing to be trained.
