Medical receptionist experience a plus EMR scheduling software knowledge a plus EPIC software knowledge is a plus Spreadsheet and Word Processing software. EOE Responsibilities: Answers telephone determines the purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards them to appropriate personnel. Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler EMR. Conducts reminder calls to all patients. Registers patients by verifying that patients' record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in the computer system. Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with addresses, directions, and other information. Confirms patients' insurance eligibility with insurance companies. Completes insurance claim forms and submits claims to insurance companies. Completes insurance claim forms and submits claims to insurance companies. Prepare and sanitize treatment room for the patients Understand the uses of stationary bikes, pulley systems, exercise/medicine balls, plyometric boxes, rebounder, weight equipment, mobilization tables and benches, progressive resistive exercises as designed by the Physical Therapist Prepare equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin bath, and hot packs Remove and replace braces, splints, and slings from patient bodies before and after treatment Assist physical therapy assistant and/or physical therapist to support patient during ambulation and gait training.
