We currently have the following career opportunity available in Sudbury, MA: Custom Systems Engineer - Corporate Responsibility: The Custom Systems Engineer will lead the efforts in assembling, robot programming, and testing of automation systems. The engineer will travel, install, and train customers on system operations. The engineer will assist in integrating factory and aftermarket options into machines. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical and electrical assembly and installation of robot and automation system components into machine tools or as standalone cells for various applications. Evaluate and resolve any issues with the form, fit, function, and communication elements of automation cells. Prepare system for test production and demonstration for the customer. Provide automation training at the customer upon installation and phone support long term. Travel to customer sites for support and turnkey runoffs. Overnight stays are required in some instances. All other duties as required Travel: 20-40% travel required to support installation and start-up activities. Qualifications: Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude Ability to learn Fanuc RoboGuide software Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products Knowledge in math, geometry and trigonometry Ability to communicate effectively (written & verbal) within all levels of the organization and with customers Ability to make quick decisions in a fast paced and changing environment Ability to lead effectively and with little or no supervision Ability to set and meet both team and personal goals by being results oriented Ability to solicit and accept feedback, implementing changes where necessary Ability to manage a team effectively Resolve conflict and issues without management involvement Assign tasks and deadlines and ensure they are met on time and within budget Valid driver's license and passport Education: • Technical School certificate, Trade school or BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering, or related technical degree. • High School Diploma Required Methods Machine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
