TPF Systems Programmer

Summary: In this role, the TPF Systems Programmer performs installs, moves, adds, changes, problem determination, maintenance, repairs for the zTPF operating system, zTPF/DF, TPF Toolkit, TPF-related monitoring and performance products, and TPF-related ISV vendor products (Online Dump Facility-ODF, VPARS, VTAPE, zTPF/GI, zDumpAnalyzer, others). 24x7 pager support is required. Remote *: 95/HR C2C Anticipated Start (in weeks) 2 3-5 Must Haves TPF VPARS VTAPE Dump Analyzer experience OSA Required Skills : 10 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in most of these areas: * zTPF Operating System (some breakout follows below) * zTPF database (fixed records, pool, TPF/DF, HFS) * zTPF communications (OSA, TCP/IP, MQ, MATIP) * ISV vendor products (VPARS, ODF, zDumpAnalyzer) * Disaster Recovery and data mirroring * Test system support (includes zVM) * Significant understanding of CPU, DASD, tape, network and how TPF uses each Breakout of OS support: * Level 5 (Expert) zTPF Systems Programming (CP, FCTB, RIAT, SIP, globals) * Level 5 (Expert) implement APARs/fixes for z/TPF and related products * Level 5 (Expert) zTPF internals and diagnostics (dump/trace analysis) * Level 5 (Expert) zTPF customization * Level 5 (Expert) zTPF exits * Level 5 (Expert) zTPF user modifications (Operating System source code modifications, customer z-function commands, customer unique enhancements) * Level 3 (Proficient) knowledge of zOS, zVM, and Linux on System Z required for use of zTPF maintenance and support tools Additional skills: * TPF Automation (TPF Operations Server-TOS, SuperVision) * Performance/Capacity, including data collections, CDC, and related tools for zTPF * Hardware Config Management (IOCP, HMC, etc.) * Storage Management (DASD:IBM and/or EMC, Tape:VTS) Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
