Job Type Full-time Description Reports to: Corporate Controller Location: Chicago, IL Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners ("AJCP") is seeking an Accounting Manager to support and optimize execution in the firm's corporate accounting, reporting, and finance functions and support AJCP's rapid growth across various investment platforms focused on the hospitality, mixed-use, and single-family rental sectors. For more information on AJCP, please visit ABOUT THE ROLE The Accounting Manager will support the accounting functions for AJCP's management and brand companies on a day-to-day basis, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting and consolidations. This role will also manage AJCP's financial operations and corporate treasury functions, including working capital management, payroll reconciliation, and accounts payable activities. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition practices in our complex and evolving business environment. WHAT YOU WILL DO Provide financial, business, and technical accounting expertise to facilitate the timely generation, synthesis, and distribution of accurate financial reports for management and lenders Assist in preparation of all accounting and finance reporting for the companies, including the monthly closing process, financial statement and quarterly investor statement and lender reporting package preparation Lead cash management activities for the company, including processing capital calls and distributions, forecasting liquidity and estimated tax payments, managing payments for vendors, and optimizing working capital needs across operating divisions Develop, implement, and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards Develop a deep understanding of all significant agreements, including but not limited to entity operational agreements and side letters, debt agreements, management agreements, and licensing agreements; ensure the compliance with each of these agreements across the companies Oversee all third-party service providers to maintain and manage investor ledgers, capital calls, distributions, cash balances, accounts, audits, and bank relationships Coordinate with the internal and external tax teams on tax related matters Manage sales & use tax returns Assist in identifying and implementing standardized best practices, technologies, and internal controls to help scale efficiently and mitigate risks Lead efforts in external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet audit requirements Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Perform any additional responsibilities that may be required to support Field & Stream's rapid growth WHO YOU ARE AJCP is seeking a highly-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, but disciplined, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will have experience leading accounting and finance functions for a private equity firm or investment advisor and will know how to drive organization-wide decision making by providing teams with clear, useful, and timely financial reporting.
