The Electrician is responsible for installing and maintaining high and low voltage electrical systems across the health system. This role requires proficiency in electrical systems, data runs, and termination boxes, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service. Roles and Responsibilities: Electrical System Maintenance: Maintain and repair electrical distribution systems, including normal and emergency power, fire alarms, nurse call systems, and lighting. Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with accreditation and code standards. Safety and Compliance: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of safety procedures, maintain a safe work environment, and wear personal protective equipment as required. Emergency Response: Participate in on-call duties and respond to unscheduled emergencies, providing support as needed. Project Assistance: Assist with in-house projects, estimating and implementing maintenance plans, and managing contracted vendors. Required Skills and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent experience 3+ years' experience as an electrician (Journeyman) Knowledge and the ability to test and maintain emergency generator systems Knowledge and the ability to work with 480/277/208/120/ single and three phase wiring systems Knowledge and the ability to work on switch gear, controls and relays Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code, town or AHJ electrical codes, and the ability to interpret construction design electrical drawings and specifications Preferred Skills and Experience: Master License preferred but not required Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Requirements also include climbing, bending, and the ability to get into tight spaces while working off a ladder.
