Duties and Responsibilities The Manager of Grant Funded Projects is responsible for advancing the strategic goals related to the aspiration of North Park University becoming the leading Christian city-centered university. This person provides logistical support and administrative oversight for the CCE's grant funded projects. This position is grant-funded for a 5-year term with the possibility of extension. The current grant portfolio includes two multi-year projects funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc.'s Thriving Congregations Initiative and Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative. Ensures all program activities are aligned with project outcomes and benchmarks Utilizes appropriate program monitoring and program evaluation techniques Creates timely reports for submission to funders Mobilizes and secures campus resources to enhance program effectiveness Facilitates federal, state, and institutional policy compliance Assesses and implements risk management strategies Secures professional development opportunities for program facilitators Manages budgets and facilitates procurement processes with the Business Office Establishes and maintains relationships with community partners supporting projects Requirements Bachelor's degree An appreciation of, and commitment to, the Christian mission of North Park University. Three years of direct experience in working with or overseeing sponsored projects A working knowledge of social issues found in an urban environment Understanding and commitment to our intercultural distinctive Familiar with various approaches to program evaluation Works well under deadlines Ability to effectively communicate with community partners and other external constituents Ability to work well under pressure, work independently, take initiative and oversee a variety of projects simultaneously Ability to relate well to a variety of personality types Strong writing and oral communication skills Basic word and data processing ability (Microsoft Word, Excel, OneDrive) Desired: Driver's License recommended Ability to work evenings and/or weekends when needed NOTE: Nothing in this job description restricts the supervisor's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
