Overview: The Teller is responsible to provide financial services to our members in a confident and professional manner that assures efficient operations and exceptional member service by handling routine tasks, such as processing payments, accepting deposits, and handling withdrawals. Tellers respond to member requests and inquiries, make recommendations about products and services, as well as maintain and balance cash supplies. Responsibilities : Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Adhere to MCU's policy, procedure and regulations. Ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss Ability to exercise judgment, raise questions to management, and adhere to policy and guidelines Verify member's identity and identification prior to conducting any service on accounts within established guidelines. Prepare journal entries as necessary. Verify large negotiable items as required. Achieve assigned goals and referrals. Takes responsibility and accountability in following all service standards set forth by MCU. Maintain member's confidence and protects MCU operations by keeping information confidential Support member engagement by processing teller transactions, sharing digital solutions, and making appropriate introduction to MSR's or Branch Management Team Ability to educate and connect members to technology and share the value of MCU digital services Experience working with others on a team to meet member's needs. Interact with members and individuals to demonstrate care, build relationships, and complete requested transactions Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members Support/ participates in branch and team building activities Open, close, and secure teller terminal and CDM daily. Accurately balance teller terminal host totals and cash drawer. Assist with back-up work and distribution of daily work. Accurately calculate and verify all incoming and outgoing cash. Comply with BSA and SAR requirements. Performs other related duties assigned by management. Travel and work at other branch locations as required. Work overtime as required and ability to work weekends as needed and scheduled Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned. Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous Teller or cash handling in a retail environment. Ability to work well under pressure. Prior customer service experience, preferably working with high volumes. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Friendly and professional Highly ethical. Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Technologically proficient.
