Job Type Full-time Description The Junior Estimator and Project Manager is responsible for project managing smaller, routine millwork and casework projects under direct supervision of a Senior Project Manager. In addition, this position prepares and/or coordinates the preparation of full estimates on millwork and casework projects as required by clients' documents and provides complete conceptual and total bid price. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Reviews and evaluates requests for estimates. Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid. Prepares weekly bid calendar and ensures timely completion of estimates. Executes take-offs of construction documents and inputs take-offs into a computer spreadsheet. Obtains pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors. Prepares cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items. Where predetermined standard(s) are not available, makes an estimate. Informs the immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items/computer database. Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc. Reviews estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy. Attends departmental meetings as required. Photocopies documents and plans. Creates job folders. Creates job schedules Visits job sites routinely before, during and after installation begins Prepares a site report related to logistics of our trucking, installation teams Serves as a direct point of contact for client and our foreman Develops, maintains and distributes daily jobsite reports for projects they are managing Develops, maintains and executes punchlist documents to completion Prepares Change Order quotes for unexpected, added scope on site. Requirements High School Diploma/GED. At least 1+ years related industry experience. Continued education and proficiency in software applications, like Microsoft Office Suite, Hedberg, and Adobe products. BA/BS in Business, Construction Management or related field preferred Ability to prioritize workflow to handle a diversity of tasks at once and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and ethical conduct. Express self clearly and professionally in both written and verbal form. Works as a team player to demonstrate enthusiasm, optimism, and persistence.
