For more information, visit BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the TPM & Facilities Manager, the Manufactoring Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes. This role involves working closely with the production team to ensure that products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The Manufacturing Engineer will also implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance production capabilities. KEY DELIVERABLES: Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement. Design and implement new processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate with production managers to develop and optimize production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products. Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes. Work with engineering and maintenance to integrate automation and robotic systems into the production lines to improve efficiency and consistency. Select appropriate materials for production and conduct tests to ensure they meet required specifications. Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality. Develop and implement processes that minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability. Address and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes, equipment, and production quality. Maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, improvements, and quality control measures. Prepare regular reports for management. Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and equipment. Troubleshoot machinery in accordance with maintenance to support production. Create processes for material flow. Develop SOPs. In accordance with operations, develop standard work for various positions. 3.0 QUALIFICATIONS: Analytical, problem solving, project management, facilitation, and decision-making skills are essential. Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate others, resolve conflict, and encourage teamwork. Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills. Expertise in lean material and information flow methodologies. Familiarity with quality control standards and methodologies. Self-starter, able to work with or lead cross-functional teams. Must be able to work under minimal direct supervision and be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and upgrade processes. Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside of the organization. Experience working on automated manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Strong understanding of the principles and practices of process design, development, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support for all aspects of production automation programs such as: test procedures, data collection validation, etc. 4.0 EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience with automation and/or control systems (electronics) - automation industry preferred but not required. 5.0 EXPERIENCE: Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills are required. Proficiency in CAD software, Solid Works, Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, SCADA. Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plus. Electrical knowledge 480V, 120V, 24V circuits Pneumatic and hydraulics. Validation protocol creation is a plus. (IQ, OQ, PQ) Vendor management. Safety Kizan creation and execution. 6.0 Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is frequently required to perform repetitive motions. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to feel or handle, and to reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and is frequently required to bend, twist, stoop, walk, and ability to at a fast pace and handle multiple parts that have glue on them, and to stand throughout entirety of shift. The employee will be working in a facility with a high level of forklift traffic.
