Overview: We're currently seeking an Account Executive to join our growing Special Situations practice. The AE plays a critical role on the Special Situations team, with various responsibilities as listed below. They are expected to have the ability to handle multiple projects in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail as well as strong analytical, research, written and verbal skills are required. This person also should have the ability to work effectively outside of normal business hours and under tight deadlines. What you'll be doing: Media Relations Secure relevant media opportunities on behalf of clients, including embargoed media exclusives around strategic announcements Assist Prosek team with client media prep sessions Develop a keen understanding and knowledge of the media landscape Develop and maintain strong relationships with reporters who cover your clients' transactions/announcements Writing Deliver first drafts of external and internal client communications, including but not limited to: press releases, messaging, memos, fight letters, FAQ/Q&A, fact sheets, investor presentations, talking points, management scripts, media briefing materials, media pitches and related transaction documents, etc. Client Service/Relationship Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn your clients' businesses and industries of operation, as well as the associated communications disciplines Clearly and articulately express yourself in team meetings and client calls Daily Administrative Daily monitoring and analysis of key trends and activity impacting current and potential M&A activity Ongoing updates and customization of pitch decks PR / financial advisory ranking table tracking and submission Project management, tracking and reporting Monitor SEC and legal filings What makes you qualified: 1-2 years of similar experience (deal work, special situations, crisis etc.) S. / B.A. in Finance, Business, or Public Relations, Communications Experience with PowerPoint and Excel Required experience: Mergers & Acquisitions (hostile and friendly) Shareholder activism (offense and defense) Crisis and litigation support Preferred experience: Bankruptcy/restructuring (creditor and debtor) Distressed debt (corporate and sovereign) Experience working with attorneys and financial advisors on highly sensitive/confidential engagements What are the perks? 401(k) employer match : Premium healthcare plans , including medical, dental and vision coverage: Your health comes first. The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000. An employee's salary is determined by a range of factors including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is one component of Prosek's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, new business commission, paid time off, and other benefits.
