Job Description: Job Summary The Physician Support Specialist is an assistant to the LHR Radiologists. This person acts as a liaison to all Radnet Departments to include IT/Telecommunications, Credentialing, Payroll, Accounts Payable, etc. This person interacts with members of the Marketing, Technical, and Clerical teams, on a daily basis to ensure that exams are read in a timely manner. This person will often communicate with the referring physician community to schedule/expedite results. Responsibilities are wide range and include preparation of monthly/call schedules, on-boarding new Radiologists, assigning cases to be read and verification of invoices to be paid. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist Radiologists, as needed. Assist Medical Director, as needed. Assist VP of Physician Resources and Development, as needed. Onboard new Radiologists. Preparation of IS, PAF & HAF forms. Coordinate system training (to include RIS, PACS, Power scribe) for new hires. Prepare/monitor daily/monthly call schedules in Qgenda. Work with Medical Director to review/approve PTO based on appropriate staffing. Assign addendums/over-reads to radiologists. Maintain Master List of Radiologists for Medical Director. Verification of invoices for payment. Facilitate scheduling of specialty exams, as needed. Facilitate communication between Radiologist and Referring Physicians, as needed. Monitor Radiologist RIS Chairs, assign cases as needed. Open/Close chair, when necessary. Assist with special projects, as needed. Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience High school diploma or general education degree. Three-five years supervisory experience in a medical office setting preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology. Willingness to learn specific processes and terminology. Work independently with minimal supervision. Extremely organized and detail oriented. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complex written or oral instructions. Outstanding customer service skills with both internal and external customers. Strong ability to interface with all levels of individuals. Demonstrate high level of confidentially and professionalism. Follow HIPAA, compliance, privacy, safety and confidentiality standards at all times. Complete job responsibilities in a quality and timely manner. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Physical Demands This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, constant talking, and hearing, speaking, and listening. Visual acuity to read computer screens and written materials. Also, must be able to lift over 50 pounds, occasionally. Travel required for quarterly meetings and/or as necessary for operational needs. Working Environment Outpatient medical office setting with low to moderate noise level.
