Description Organization Background Based in Washington, DC, Easterly Government Properties, Inc. is a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) focused primarily on the acquisition, development and management of Class A commercial properties that are leased to U.S. Government agencies that serve essential functions. About the Position The firm seeks an energetic, organized, and highly motivated individual with at least three to five years of professional experience to assist the team with a broad range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to (i) management of office operations, (ii) Executive administrative support, (iii) support of management's public and investor relations activities, and (iv) other general functions that help contribute to the productivity of the organization. The ideal individual will be a self-starter and have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong administrative, organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain an effective balance among multiple priorities with a tenacity for meeting deadlines. The company does have a hybrid work option however, this role will require the individual to remain flexible for the in-person demands of the position. This position will also occasionally require work outside of core business hours to meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: General Office Responsibilities Manage telephone calls, inquiries, and requests Maintain office inventory and order office and kitchen supplies when needed Coordinate recurring maintenance with vendors for kitchen equipment Maintain physical appearance and organization of the office Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence to appropriate departments Deposit checks on behalf of the accounting team Plan multiple company events such as holiday parties, office activities, and volunteer outings Manage file system for both electronic and hardcopy documents Maintain vendor relationships Interface with building management to maintain the Company's current office space Help coordinate new hire onboarding and introductions Assist Executive team with the planning and coordination of quarterly Board meetings and events; including materials, venues, catering, and member communication Act as main point of contact with corporate offices in Beverly, MA and San Diego, CA Administrative Support Coordinate travel and accommodations in a consistent and proactive manner Maintain calendar for senior team members Coordinate and make preparations for meetings Compile documents for meetings requiring travel Allocate and review monthly corporate credit card account activity Assist with management team's expense reports Potentially asked to serve as a Notary for the office, either through an existing certification, or through a future certification the Company is willing to sponsor Public Relations and Investor Relations Support Assist the head of Investor Relations with the coordination of the Company's external public and investor relations activities Assemble conference materials and background research for executive team Assist in the printing and production of investor presentations Assist with planning and travel logistics as it relates to investor meetings and/or conferences Make periodic basic updates to the Company's website Qualifications Bachelor's degree with demonstrated academic achievement in English or Business preferred At least 3-5 years of relevant experience (preferably in executive support) Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with a high attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in event planning and/or travel coordination preferred Emotional maturity and effective interpersonal skills Effective problem-solving skills and sound judgement Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills A self-starter with the tenacity toward meeting deadlines, with a strong sense of urgency and good self-management discipline A mature, confident team player who adapts to change and remains calm under pressure Most importantly, candidates must have strong ethical character, be intellectually curious, and have a sense of humor The base pay range for this role is between $80,000 to $90,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
