Salary: $8.75 Hourly Location : Glenville, WV Job Type: Non-classified Job Number: 0485TWS00037V Division: Academic Center Opening Date: 10/24/2024 Description The Academic Success Center (ASC) is looking for Student Workers to fill the front desk position. Student Workers must have experience in managing multiple tasks, decision-making skills, and have excellent customer services skills. Additionally, workers must be knowledgeable in the resources and services that the ASC and Glenville State University campus offers. Examples of Duties Excellent customer services skills when responding to phone calls, voicemails, and with all visitors to the ASC. Perform administrative duties including mail pick-up and delivery, making copies, filing, and delivery and picking up items on campus. Monitor, assist, and answer questions for students who request assistance. Assist ASC staff with various tasks throughout the semester. Assist in the input of data for study hall hours. Must assist in daily sanitization and cleaning procedures for the center. Demonstrate an understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements. Willing to tutor entry level courses. Available to work evenings and weekend hour throughout the semester. Typical Qualifications Good Academic Standing (3.0 or better) Must be currently enrolled at GSU Knowledgeable in Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Schedule This position will work up to 20 hours per week during the semester. Work times are available Monday - Sunday and some evening hours.
