Inventory Buyer

Inventory Buyer Department: Purchasing/Inventory Employment Type: Full Time Location: Glen Cove, NY Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 / year Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Buyer to manage the procurement of CNC lathe wood components and metal spinning components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, a keen eye for detail, and familiarity with NetSuite. Key Responsibilities Procurement: Source and purchase CNC lathe wood components and metal spinning components. Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production needs. Monitor and manage stock levels, reorder points, and lead times. Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits. Quality Control: Ensure all purchased components meet Allied Maker's quality standards. Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers. NetSuite Utilization: Use NetSuite for inventory tracking, order management, and reporting. Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within the NetSuite system. Collaboration: Work closely with the production and design teams to understand component requirements. Coordinate with the finance department to manage budgets and cost controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience as an inventory buyer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of CNC lathe operations and metal spinning processes. Proficiency with NetSuite is mandatory. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
