Ideal candidates would have experience in the calculation, design, and development of commercial, laboratory, and manufacturing electrical systems, branch circuit design, lighting, and lighting controls. Enginova's clients are in the commercial, laboratory, manufacturing, and hospitality sectors of construction. The immediate duties of the designer or engineer involve the design and engineering of hospitality and laboratory projects. The successful candidate is required to run projects under the direction of the President of the company in the capacity of performing electrical and energy calculations, design of electrical systems, and drafting for Enginova's current clients. On-site project tasks involve face-to-face meetings with clients, architects, and contractors for proper design coordination and problem solving. Clients and future projects are moving toward Revit or AutoCAD MEP 3D design formats, the candidate is to be comfortable with 3D design and understand the software pany and Job Outlook:Enginova is a small business headquartered in San Diego, CA with projects occurring in six states, and growing, with employees stationed in three states. The interested candidate should be comfortable with taking on the responsibility of lead designer and project manager during periods of high project volume. The job requires constant communication with clients and frequent project job-site visits to ensure a successful project delivery.Enginova is an active and flexible company. The successful candidate should be comfortable communicating their input on company design standards, client outreach, business development, and many other facets of the business.Required Qualifications:· Associate Degree related to construction, engineering, or technology, with minimum of 3 years relevant job experience in the consulting side of construction with degree. Or,· Without degree, minimum 8 years relevant job experience as a drafter and designer.· Strong understanding of the California Building, Electrical, Energy, and Fire codes.· Strong production skills in both Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.· Strong EnergyPro, eQuest, HAP, or equivalent software skills.· Strong English written and oral technical communication skills.· Legally eligible to work in the United States.Preferred Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or other pertinent degree from an accredited college or university.· Engineer-in-training certificate from any of the 50 United States.· Proficient designing in Autodesk AutoCAD Design Master plug-in.· Understanding of commercial controls systems for seamless integration into projects.If interested in the position, please e-mail resume and background.
