Visit to find out why 40% of the Fortune 500 choose ComPsych for their mental health needs.Job SummaryThe Senior Manager or Payroll is responsible for all aspects of payroll including but not limited to; establishing appropriate checks and balances to ensure payroll compliance and accuracy, generating reports for the general ledger and reconciliation, and overseeing the administration of payment of wages and bonuses and other company benefits. Ensure the efficient operation of the employee data information process; including maintaining data integrity, interfacing with other third party systems and handling a high volume of confidential employee information.Primary Responsibilities:Critically review and analyze payroll processes in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best practice operationsDevelop the vision and structure of the Payroll function in alignment with company strategyManage and guarantee bi-weekly and monthly disbursement of multi-state and international payroll consistent with federal, state and international wage and hour lawsEnsure processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations are accurate on on-timeEffectively resolve any payroll-related issues as they ariseProvide leadership in the coordination and implementation of the Payroll and HRIS systems including time and attendance systemEnsure adherence to tax regulations and reporting as well as compliance of Sarbanes-OxleyManage regular preparation of relevant management reports; including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-endCommunicate actively with Operations, Finance, HR and Benefits to review cross-departmental impact and reconcile data sharingEstablish and implement consistent payroll policies processes and procedures across the companyAccurately process bi-weekly payroll for executive staffDocument work flow and standard operating procedures Manage payroll staffOther duties as assignedJob QualificationsBSBA in Accounting or Business ManagementCertified American Payroll Association professional preferredAt least 10 years' experience in high volume international and multi-state payroll processing Experience with ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems a plusPrior system conversion experience a plusStrong organization, influencing skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities requiredApplied knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley requirements as related to payroll processingAbility to build, manage and lead staff to excellent performanceAbility to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external partners and business leaders across the organizationAbility to discreetly handle confidential mattersCustomer service mindsetExcellent problem solving skills; strong ability to proactively identify and implement effective solutionsBenefits and PerksFull benefits package, including Paid Time Off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, robust EAP, wellness program, and much moreVery competitive compensation packageBeautiful office space located in the NBC Tower downtown Chicago, with great amenities including discounted parking, and access to the many activities that this great city offersComPsych celebrates diversity and is an equal opportunity employer.
