Job Title: Data Center ArchitectDesignerLocation: Long Island, NYPosition Type: FulltimeContract positionResponsibilities:This role is for a Data center ArchitectDesigner. This person will help Design large data Centers from scratch or redesign an existing data center to add some more equipment's. The data centers will require RacksCabinets so the person must have extensive experience in designing rackscabinets, how much cooling has to be sent to each area of the datacenter based on what equipment's will be placed on them. The equipment's could be telecommunication equipment's or computer systems or other types of electrical and electronic equipment's. The person does not have to be a circuit board designer.The client needs the person to travel 2-3 times a month in Long Island (central) and 1 time at most to south or north of Long Island. Most times the person will work remotely. They need someone in the area though because the travel is required at least 3 times a month. They are not looking for Managers so they must only be interested in working as Individual Contributor and SME in the field of Data center design. They will not be designing the facility (buildings) but only what goes in the building when it comes to Datacenter build out. Must understand all components of data center design and System Architecture not just one piece of it. Must have Electrical Engineering back ground with some experience in MechanicalElectronics engineering. Need a Datacenter ArchitectsDesigners from infrastructure design stand point. This is not a IT position.Must have experience making designs using AutoCAD and Visio.Must be senior who has holistic view of Datacenter design and pure hands on. They do not need guys who have been datacenter designers but then have been doing managerial duties for 4-5 years (recent). They are ok with folks who just started doing managerial roles (1-2 years) but primarily have been Individual contributors and would love to go back and work as individual contributor.
