Leading Health Care company is searching for a Bilingual (Spanish speaking) customer service representative to join their team.KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Successful accomplishments and primaryaccountabilities of this position will depend upon establishing and maintaining effectiveworking relationships with a variety of people both inside and outside of the functionalarea. Such people may include, but are not limited to: interdepartmental leadership,education and development, the patient, client hospital staff, government, insurancecompany representatives, vendors, compliance, finance, decision support and contactmanagement as well as top officers, senior management and staff.Principal Responsibilities:• Meet with patients and review bills and explain outstanding balance• Understand Explanation of Benefits and be able to communicate withpatientGuarantor• Thoroughly review all notes in patient accounts for potential insurance benefit orfinancial assistance eligibility.• Request necessary documents from client to perform insurance billing or financialassistance approval.• Contact patients when additional information is required to complete billing or financialassistance.• Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate documentation and updates in all requiredsystems for each work event.• Identify root cause of issues and concerns, determine resolution, and refer toManagement.• Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.• Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas ofimprovement.• Make recommendations to implement improved processes.• Perform other duties as assigned by management.Education and Experience:• High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate orequivalent relevant work experience desired.• Previous insurancemedical billingcustomer service experience preferred.• Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.• Ability to work in a team fostered environment.•Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.•Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.Work Environment:We provide Equal Employment Opportunity for all individuals regardless of race, color,religion, gender, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity,status as a protected veteran, genetic information, status as a qualified individual with adisability and any other basis protected by federal, state or local laws.ESSENTIAL POSITION EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES ANDREQUIREMENTS:Experience with hospital or physician medical billing.Bi-lingual - must have the ability to speak Spanish.Medical experience, either practical or classroom knowledge needed.Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.Attention to detail.Good attendance record.Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Demonstrated ability to perform work in alignment with company mission and values.Proven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications.Education: High School Diploma or GEDEligible for quarterly bonus of up to $500SHIFT: Must be able to work an 8 hr. shift, Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.Excellent Benefits including 401k plan with a match!!!!
