Senior Security Engineer

Title: IT Security Engineer - 85825Y0953 Client: NYC Agency Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid) Duration: 12 Months Work Hours: 35 Hours week Hybrid: (Monday- Friday; 9-5 ET remote): with Ability to come on-site as required- at most one-week per month to location 2 MTC. SCOPE OF SERVICES: Manage security architecture and engineering integration for NG911 system. Perform cyber security and technical threat analysis for NG911 System. Evaluate security protocols for intrusion prevention using NIST 800-53 framework. Ensure security regulations and standards are being applied in the network system. Implement solutions for DNS, Email, remote access configuration, integration, performance monitoring, and security management on the Next Generation firewall 9-1-1 platforms. Implementation of Next Generation firewall platforms, host operating systems, applications such as LDAP and SMTP. MANDATORY SKILLS: Demonstrate a sound understanding in the implementation of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and OSI model; TCPIP stack. Experience designing secure networks, systems and applications with a focus on security, performance and reliability. Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures. Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems. Minimum 12 yrs. experience in a technical andor business application, product, platform, or methodology. DESIRABLE SKILLS: Cybersecurity experience in a PSACPSAP environment working on NG911 systems One or more relevant information security andor networking certifications such as: CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, PCNSE. Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
