At Catapult, we are supporting our member, North Carolina Pork Council, in their search for a Director of Finance. This is a fully onsite role in Raleigh, NC.About UsNorth Carolina Pork Council is the voice of North Carolina's hog farmers. We advocate for our products, our people and our industry. Position SummaryThe Director of Finance is responsible for financial operations of NCPC in fiscal oversight, compliance and discipline through planning, developing and implementing successful policies and procedures as well as in support of the administration of the organization, including through regular interaction with the Board of Directors and its committees.The successful candidate will be a reliable professional with broad knowledge in non-profit accounting and will oversee day-to-day financial responsibilities for NCPC.Key ResponsibilitiesOversees all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Develops and maintains financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure efficiency and compliance with all regulations and best practices.Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Manages AP, AR; maintains general ledger, fixed assets.Oversees Payroll and benefits processing through coordination with external payroll vendor. Leads the annual budgeting process, working closely with NCPC staff to ensure alignment with strategic goals.Monitors budget performance and makes recommendations for adjustments, as necessary.Coordinates annual audits and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.Serves as the primary liaison with external auditors and financial institutions.Manages vendor relationships (e.g., Insurance carriers: Health, Risk Management and Liability).Provides support for Board of Director committees, ensuring compliance with financial, accounting, lobbying, campaign finance and other laws, rules, policies, procedures of federal, state and National Pork Board authorities.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBAMScMA or CPA preferred.Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements for non-profits.Proficient experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office.Experience with Payroll processing (e.g., CBIZ software.)Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.Excellent time management skills with a proved ability to meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.NCPC is an equal opportunity employer.
