Controls Engineer

Duration: 12 Month contractJob Description:• This position will work with other team members to manage, modify, and develop computer systems required to manufacture optical fiber.• The position will also participate in or occasionally lead projects to meet the plant's objectives, drive cost reduction efforts, and participate in capacity expansion efforts.Day to Day Responsibilities:• Assist team of engineers to provide production support and troubleshooting for 247 manufacturing operation. Work with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure reliable equipment operation via automated control systems and user interfaces.• Support process and product optimizationimprovement efforts.• Provide training for engineers andor production associates as needed for new processes, equipment, or control systems.• Participate in capital projects.• Some after-hours, on-call support may be needed.Experience:• 5+ years in a technical role or relevant experience• Knowledge in computer and PLC programming skills such as: VB, .net, C, real-time systems or similarDesired Skills:• Abilityexperience integrating computers into manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and lower cost• MS Windows, iFIX, EthernetIP IO, Microsoft Office.
