We are working with a widely recognized law firm in New York City seeking a dedicated and skilled Securities Paralegal to join their team. If you are a proactive professional with a strong background in litigation, particularly in securities and class actions, we invite you to apply.Key Responsibilities:Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, BloombergLaw, AlphaSense, and other resources.Proofread, cite-check, and fact-check briefs, complaints, and various legal documents.Prepare, finalize, and file legal documents efficiently.Assist in retrieving relevant rules and anize and manage case files, ensuring all references are up to date.Prepare for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings, coordinating schedules with outside counsel and vendors.Maintain accurate time entries using iTimeKeep.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.Minimum of 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm; securities litigation or class action experience preferred.Proficient in e-filing processes in federal district courts.Must possess experience in cite-checking and Bluebooking.Strong research skills and familiarity with various research tools and legal databases.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning abilities.Meticulous proofreading skills and attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects under pressure.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Willingness to work overtime and adjust work hours as needed.Work Environment:This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in New York, NY.The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and 2 days of work-from-home.
