Estimator - Multi-Family About The CompanyMy client is an employee-owned national general contractor and construction management company that has been operating for the last 35 years. They specialize in new construction, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects. Their portfolio consists of projects and developments in health care, educational (K-12 & higher ed), industrialwarehouse, commercial, multi-unit residential, retail, financial, food servicedining, governmental, hospitality, cannabis, self-storage, and LEED facilities.About the opportunityThey are currently looking for a young, ambitious, and energetic Estimator to work on multifamily projects in Charlotte, NC. This will be a client-facing role, where you will be regularly going out to meet with developers and look to grow a team around you.Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.Bid Preparation: Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to develop comprehensive bid proposals.Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.Resource Management: Collaborate with project managers to identify project requirements, establish budgets, and assist in value engineering efforts.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation. Generate reports and summaries for internal review and client presentations.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methodologies to improve estimating techniques and cost-saving opportunities.Rewards And BenefitsMy client is paying between $80,000 - $100,000 per annum as a base salary.
