GROUP DESCRIPTION:Jefferies Healthcare Group provides a full suite of advisory and capital markets capabilities to clients across several sectors, including biotechnology, healthcare services, HCIT, medical technology, and pharmaceuticals. The Healthcare Group consists of a team of approximately 80 bankers focused on providing services to clients in these sectors in North and South America, Europe, and Asia.POSITION:The Global Healthcare Group is actively looking for an experienced Vice President to align in the Healthcare Technology vertical in our New York office. The candidate will be meeting with C-Level contacts and should be able to understand the sector and understand the products.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in the execution of M&A, equity and debt financings, and restructuring and recapitalization transactionsAbility to operate as project deal team lead, driving the work product and transaction processesPerform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies' analysesPrepare pitch books and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectusesBuild financial three-statement operating modelsConduct industry and product researchREQUIRED BACKGROUND:Either (i) an MBA plus 3+ years of investment banking experience as an Associate or (ii) a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and 5+ years of investment banking or consulting experience; relevant advisory and healthcare industry experienceCurrently living in New York, or willing to relocateDESIRED EXPERIENCE:Strong written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesSeries 63 & 79 preferredAbility to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneouslyResourceful self-starter; able to work autonomouslyDemonstrated team player and leaderAbility to interact with C-Level ExecutivesAbility to know when and how to delegate to AssociatesAnalysts and provide training and guidanceAt Jefferies, we believe that diversity fosters creativity, innovation and thought leadership through the infusion of new ideas and perspectives.
