Moses Singer is looking for an experienced Legal AssistantPractice Coordinator. The qualified candidate must be organized, exhibit a high degree of initiative, and use excellent independent judgment when handling matters. Must also be well-spoken and work well both independently and in a team environment. You will provide a variety of secretarial, administrative and research duties for assigned attorneys in several different practice areas. Must have law firm experience.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:· Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents; proofread documents and check for appropriate formatting, spelling and grammar.· Edit and format corporate and other legal documents as instructed, using Microsoft Office suite of software.· Coordinate and arrange meetings and conference calls including special arrangements such as meals and technology set ups· Manage expenses, attorney time entry and prepare expense reports.· Print, scan, organize, and distribute documents upon request, and coordinate with Office Service to arrange for custom reprographicsbinding· Assist with billing processes and contact internal clients as appropriate and collaborate with finance team· Assist with special projects such as paper and electronic file maintenance, contact lists, and mailings· Provide overflow support as neededQualifications:At least 3 - 5 years of law firm experience, preferably as a legal secretary or similar role, such as a paralegal of legal assistant.Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.Self-starter, ability to work with autonomy in a team environment, ability to prioritize, proactively anticipate and solve critical issues.Ability to handle confidential material with tact and discretion.Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.Strong customer service with superb follow through; excellent organizational skills and time management skills.Proofreading, attention to detail, strong writing, and grammar skills a must.High degree of proficiency with MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.Knowledge of Elite, and document management systems or similar legal software.The anticipated compensation range for this position is $75K - $100K. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors, including, but not limited to, job experience, familiarity with and experience in the legal industry, skillset and other requirements as set forth on the job description.
