Job Description I am recruiting for a Manufacturing Company in need of a qualified Manufacturing Controls Engineer . Job Summary: The Manufacturing Controls Engineer is responsible for providing support of manufacturing and technical operations focusing on machine controls while maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement and productivity optimization. Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and improve efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as collecting and interpreting data from other technical and operating personnel Develop and execute project plans to schedule work activities coordinate across multiple functions and departments Update and maintain technical documents and specifications Learn Lean Production Strategy across multiple Value Streams Support the preventive maintenance process of key production equipment Write machine qualifications protocol and reports (IQ, OQ, PQ) Create Standard Operating Procedures, training operators and maintenance personnel on such procedures. Collaborate with production to ensure processes and effectively and consistently executed. Troubleshoot and debug equipment by connecting to PLC's, HMI's, and other controls devices Update machine ladder logic to add or improve machine functionality Partner with cross-functional teams to support and assist with new product development and implementation Conduct feasibility studies to estimate product cost and analyze capital equipment, capacity and capability requirements Analyze manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing tools and concepts in order to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce waste. Education and Experience Bachelor level degree in Mechanical Engineering , Electrical Engineering or equivalent Experience with Fanuc robots Knowledge of vision systems, ultrasonic welding, and leak decay testers Experience in an ISO Familiar with machining, tooling, and fixtures Electrical troubleshooting skills, use of volt/current meters with low voltage DC and 120/240 VAC Understanding of PLC Ladder Logic for PLC debugging and programming Able to use a computer to connect to PLCs HMIs and other programmable devices for monitoring.
