Mail Room Operator Contract To Hire Position Training - Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm After training- Move to second shift, M-F 4pm - 12:30 am Eventually working 4 days a week, 10 hour days. (Wednesday through Saturday 4:00 pm -2:30 am ORSunday through Wednesday 4:00 pm -2:30 am.) Role Summary: The Mail Room Operator is responsible for operating a high-speed insert machine, handling various types of mail and envelopes, and ensuring that mail production tasks are completed efficiently. This role includes machine operation, basic math, maintenance, and quality control to meet production standards. It is an entry-level position, ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Operate high-speed insert machine, handling different types of mail and envelopes. Job Balancing: Manage tasks on the machine, including processing mail volumes and maintaining workflow efficiency. Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and maintenance on mail room equipment. Quality Control: Ensure quality by pulling and testing mail samples to meet required standards. Postage Application: Use postage machines like Sendpro to apply postage to mail. Additional Tasks: Perform associated copying, binding, and finishing tasks as needed. Follow additional instructions from supervisors. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift between 25-50 lbs Any candidate being considered will be subject to a background check and drug screening.
