Maintenance Technician (NE)

St. Mary's Parish, located in Annapolis, Maryland, seeks qualified candidates for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician. Under direction of the Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for the maintenance of the building. This includes the primary fields of electrical; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC); carpentry, plumbing, etc. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Some overtime may be required. Essential Functions: Performs basic and routine maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities. Position Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Must possess a valid driver's license with no more than three current points. This position asked for one year of experience Must be able to move office furniture and other items weighing up to 25 pounds, and to move items of heavier weight with the use of assistive equipment; to move about within very tight spaces where large and potentially dangerous equipment is stored; to operate various types of manual and power tools and automated systems; and to ascend/descend a ladder as needed.
