Job Description We are currently seeking a skilled SAP GTS Consultant to join our vibrant team and drive our supply chain initiatives forward that adhere to software architecture and quality standards followed at AbbVie. Responsibilities include partnering with business leadership and project management, build, test, document and delivery of solutions, coordination with cross-application teams, drive effective issue management and effective communication with key stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible to evaluate alternatives to satisfy business objectives, estimate and plan projects. The candidate will be involved in solving complex problems that arise during the planning and execution of different IT programs and projects as well as managing SAP support activities. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Understands organization's vision, goals, and strategies. Aligns department priorities appropriately, determines critical success factors, evaluates, and pursues initiatives based on fit with strategies. Actively seek ways to apply technology to business processes, researching and providing information on technical trends and best practices. Assess near-term needs utilizing structured interview processes to establish business priorities, consult with technical subject matter experts and develop alternative technical solutions; advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities. Champion change and innovation. Stimulates creativity and innovation in others. Open to new ideas. Support those who initiate change and take risks. Performs business process analysis and translates business requirements into workable SAP solutions and/or functional designs for specific projects and changes Define templates, standards, and patterns to be used across project teams. Anticipates and recommends technical solutions to business problems. Accountable for maintainability, reliability, and availability of systems solutions relative to business expectations. Establish and maintain high-quality relationships with all levels across the company and with external partners. Manage employees/contractors, direct/indirect at varying levels of the Project Management job family. Operates within well-defined expectations. Oversees the tasks executed by Managed Service Provider (MSP). Collaborates with cross-functional teams in a dynamic work environment. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, or Master's degree with 5 years of experience, or Ph.D. with no experience. Preferred Experience: Prior work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Technical Skills: Proficient in ABAP, with hands-on experience in debugging custom code. Familiarity with Global Trade and Compliance procedures is a plus. Deep understanding of supply chain processes, including delivery, goods movements, and stock transfer orders (STOs). Proficiency in Order to Cash (OTC) processes, from sales order creation to billing. Skilled in output configurations and condition techniques. Experience with middleware solutions such as TIBCO or Seeburger for system integration. Additional Skills: Experienced in drafting functional specifications for custom programs. Capable of developing and executing functional and integration test scripts.
