Summary: Parks Hospitality Group has an exciting opportunity to join our sales team at the 117-room Tru by Hilton Columbia Greystone! This position will be responsible for business development and account management for all customer segments. You will identify new sources of business, utilize various methods to prospect, manage the full sales cycle, and develop client relationships. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to prospect and develop new accounts. This is a full-time role based on-property Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings will be required to attend local networking events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and execute individual sales action plans. Effectively plan and execute individual sales efforts for the hotel to exceed market share goals. Utilize business intelligence resources to identify target accounts and sources of demand. Prospect for new business opportunities through direct outreach. Cultivate leads using various direct, virtual, and social selling methods. Keep a strong pulse on the local market for opportunities from economic development, new demand generators, projects, etc. Conduct site tours and in-person or virtual meetings with prospective customers. Remain highly visible and responsive to clients and sales inquiries. Promote hotels in local community and maintain relationships with partner organizations including CVB, Chamber of Commerce, etc. Attend local networking events. Maintain and expand existing accounts that provide long term value. Be knowledgeable of all hotel amenities, services, policies to effectively sell all aspects of hotel. Meet or exceed individually assigned sales activity and hotel revenue goals. Prepare compelling proposals and effectively negotiate contracts. Understand competitive landscape and leverage competitive intelligence resources. Develop and maintain strong relationships with lead sources, clients, competitor hotels, and the local community. Effectively utilize Salesforce to manage activities, leads, and accounts. Collaborate and effectively communicate with other departments/team members for service execution. Maintain a proactive, positive, and can-do attitude at all times. Provide an exceptional level of service to all clients, hotel guests, and team members. Foster a positive and collaborative environment at the hotel. Stay current on brand initiatives and promotions. Complete training on all required brand and internal tools, resources, and platforms. Perform other duties as required. Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Hotel experience preferred. Familiarity with the local economy, market conditions, and key demand generators. Ability and desire to perform outside direct sales activities which includes prospecting and customer meetings. Must be self-motivated, accountable, and be able to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills needed to cultivate customer relations and work with team members of various levels and backgrounds. Possess excellent time management and organizational skills. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations. Ability to interact with a diverse group of people including management, team members, clients, guests, and general public in a courteous and professional manner at all times. Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize software platforms including Delphi/Salesforce, Microsoft Office and Teams. Ability to work as a team player with all levels of hotel staff.
