DHL Express has an immediate opening for a Director of Project Management at our CVG Global Hub in Erlanger, Kentucky. The Director plans, leads, and administers work on large multi-disciplinary projects having a significant business impact on the CVG Hub. This role develops high level and detailed project plans and budgets; directs team members in the completion of assignments; identifies and resolves key barriers/problems; monitors and tracks progress and implementation of plans to ensure desired results. This person may lead projects directly and coordinate the activities of other Project Managers. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop a business case and detailed project plan, including timelines, resource allocation, forecasts, budgeting, and recommendations for assigned projects to ensure achievement of business objectives. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle and take proactive measures to minimize their impact on project outcomes.Escalate appropriately to recover objectives and milestones. Stakeholder Communication: Establish effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management. Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any issues or changes. Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to the allocated budget. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement measures to control project costs. Change Management: Anticipate and manage changes in project scope, schedule, or resources. Assess the impact of changes and communicate them to relevant stakeholders, while ensuring minimal disruption to project objectives. Skills & Qualifications: Requires Bachelors or higher in project management, engineering, construction management, or related technical field, along with 5+ years of documented experience leading projects.Logistics and central hub experience with automation a plus. PRINCE2, PMP, or other project methodology certification preferred, or commitment to acquire if chosen. Demonstrated experience leading indirect multi-disciplinary project teams and other project managers required. Ability to develop and present proposals, plans, and progress to senior executives. Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent presentation skills Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project or similar project planning software. Able to manage work schedule to support projects across multiple shifts and locations as required. Travel may be required at times to support projects. ADA Language: Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds). Requires manual dexterity and visual and hearing acuity. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Tasks are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.
