Job Title: Automation Controls EngineerJob Description We are looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer to assist with completing metals manufacturing and heavy industrial projects. This individual's primary role will be to help develop PLC and HMI programs and provide support and expertise during commissioning and in starting up material handling systems and industrial controls for steel processing lines. Responsibilities include: • Liaise with customer • Check equipment connections and supervise electrical installation • Power up electrical controls • Start-up and commission VF drives - Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, etc. • Commission L1 controls on site • Tune and test motion and complex control loops • Configure and test safety systems Hard Skills Electrical Design background (or interest) Project management Control Systems Engineering and software development AC and DC Drive systems commissioning Process line experience a plus Fanuc Robotic experience a plus HMI development: Siemens, Rockwell, C-More Platforms PLC software engineering: Siemens and Rockwell Platforms Configure and setup of Rockwell Powerflex 755 and other drive systems Software computer skills design: MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s). Work Site This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Alliance, Ohio and some days remote.
