Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Medical Records Specialist Location: Newark, DE (Training will be in Wilmington, DE) Status: 20 hours per week Shift: Monday - Friday, flexible schedule between 830 am and 430 pm Position Purpose: Manage and maintain electronic and hard copy medical records for the PACE Organization, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Position Details: This position will be housed in Newark. However, training will take place in Wilmington. This position may also require shifts in Wilmington after training. Must be able to work at either site or travel between them during working hours if needed. What you will do: Manage and organize PACE medical records system (electronic and paper) in compliance with regulations. Ensure accessibility of records for professionals and maintain confidentiality. Respond to internal requests for medical records and maintain logs of requests and sent records. Request and upload records to the EMR using secure methods and notify relevant staff when received. Provide training on medical record processes and assist in surveys or corrective action plans. Maintain an up-to-date contact list of healthcare providers and assist with administrative tasks as needed. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/equivalent required. One (1) year of medical records experience required, Valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle required. Superior written/verbal communication skills. Must be customer focused and flexibility to adapt to ongoing change. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic mail and calendaring systems. Ability and skills to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the organization in line with our mission, vision, and philosophy. Position may require 10% local travel and use of personal vehicle.
