SUMMARY The Application Analyst acts as a liaison between Information Technology and user department(s). Ability to lead small projects, Plans, directs, organizes, and supports the use of Meditch Magic modules. Ability to communicate with non-technical professionals, prepares, and train users. Continuously improves proficiency and knowledge. However, as the job evolves or changes, an employee should expect to complete other duties as assigned that are not listed here. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Developing enhancements, testing, and training users on the systems. 2. Building order sets and dictionaries for Meditech Magic modules 3. Create documentation for user guide for training 4. Understanding current workflows and helping to improve current design of systems, and operational processes 5. Liaison between clinical IT strategy, clinical leadership, and management initiatives and constantly evaluating new strategies. 6. Identify new learning processes and technologies required to support initiatives 7. Monitor, evaluate, and share emerging technologies 8. Performs other related duties as assigned COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Understands and adheres to Loretto Hospital's compliance standards as they appear in the Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs. Minimum of 3-5 years IT experience, clinical experience is a plus Understanding of HL7 Interfaces. Experience working with Meditech Magic. Knowledge of clinical, registration, medical records workflows. Strong communication, training, decision making and troubleshooting skills.
