Job Type Full-time Description Safely and effectively provides assistance in the maintenance of equipment used in the collection and delivery of company product on CMV in a safe and effective manner. Does not operate a CMV or vehicle over 10,000 lbs. Schedule will be Monday through Friday from 1am to 9:30 am Benefits Paid medical, dental and vision coverage Paid holidays Paid vacation and sick time, Retirement plan available Duties and Responsibilities Clean/wash work area, machines, containers, trailers, vehicles and/or equipment Use a power washer to clean equipment Use chemicals with proper PPE provided The Driver Helper with a regular Drivers License is only able to drive a vehicle under 10,000 lbs. Assist with container maintenance, pick-up and delivery (as needed) in an appropriate vehicle Will assist Drivers with the loading and unloading of route trucks Move material within facility using equipment like forklift and bobcat as needed Operate truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products safely throughout the facility Assist with completing and verifying paperwork for accuracy Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner Follow department and company procedures Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company Other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the business. These responsibilities may change from time to time are business needs evolve over time. Requirements Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Professional Certifications, Education, Experience and Travel Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Requires valid driver's license with acceptable MVR and medical card Prior forklift experience desirable Less than 5% travel requirement. Physical Demands/Requirements Constantly (over 2/3): Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally Must be able to bend, twist, squat, push, and pull on a regular basis Must be able to work independently/with little supervision Frequently (1/3-2/3): Exposed to work both in-door and outdoor weather conditions Utilizes tools and equipment such as a power washer Occasionally (under 1/3): Detect and observe conditions that need to be addressed such as equipment that needs to be painted or materials that need to be moved/removed. Electronically and manually completes logs/reports if needed Communicates with staff in the process of performing duties About Baker Commodities, Inc.
