Job descriptionConstruction Project EstimatorMy client is a long-established custom home Framing Company who is looking for a well-qualified and experienced estimator for high-end custom residential homes in California.Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player who is ready to hit the ground running and accomplish the following critical responsibilities.The ideal candidate shall possess the flowing qualifications and success attributes:Qualifications:Must know how to read and understand Preliminary DrawingsAbility to perform detailed take-offs for materials, trade contractors, and labor based on Preliminary DrawingsAbility to assemble detailed itemized estimates and processes for accurate and timely completed estimating scheduleAbility to contribute strategies and solutions for successful bids and proposals on all projectsAbility to prepare Steel Package EstimatesPrepare estimates for Changes in the work during the construction processDevelop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliersStrong written, communication and computer skills are requiredExcellent analytical skillsHighly organizedMinimum of 5 to 10 years' experienceor training in the construction trade industry requiredResidential Framing construction experience is a MUST - building high-end residential projects preferred!Team player, excellent attitude and pleasant personality is requiredEducation:A four-year degree in the related field is preferredComputer and Office Skills:Ability to operate computer software, to include MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Web BrowserAbility to operate a copier and the company phonevoice mail systemLanguage Skills:Ability to speak fluent in English and Spanish is a Plus +Ability to read, and interpret documents such as construction contractsagreements, drawing, procedure manuals, safety rules, estimates, and operating and maintenance instructionsAbility to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers or co-workersAbility to write routine reports and correspondence, and to verbally present information to customers, co-workers, suppliers, and the general publicWe Offer:Health CoverageDentalVision BenefitsPTOLocation: Palo Alto, CaliforniaJob Type: Full-timePay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayExperience:Construction: 5 years (Required)Custom Residential Construction: 5 years (Required)Custom Home Builds: 5 years (Required)Ability to Relocate:Palo Alto, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
