Repair EngineerPosition Type: Direct Hire Position Location: Cincinnati, OHPosition Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 (Depending on Experience)Responsibilities:FAA Testing MandatoryResearch, design and development of Jet-engine component repairs. Design of repairs from concept to production. Interface with OEM, overhaul facilities, customers and operations.Perform research, design and development of Jet-engine component repairsSupport market analysis by matching new repair opportunities with shop capabilitiesDesign repairs from concept to productionInterface with OEM, overhaul facilities, customers and operations personnelProvide shop support in the execution of repairs and in generalDevelop tooling concepts for specific repairsGenerate process routersDevelop first article packages for part approvalsDevelop technical relationships with customers.Support all shop operations.Work with Quality in investigating discrepancies and escapesSupport Sourcing with Supplier visits and evaluations (heat treat, machining, thermal spray)Requirements:Bachelor's in Manufacturing, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Technology- Documentation requiredMust meet ITAR definition of US Person(s)- Documentation RequiredDocumented history of technical experience with aviation, aero derivative, and industrial engine component overhaul, repair, and repair developmentDemonstrated ability to develop and execute technical work instructionsWorking knowledge of part cleaning, inspecting, joining, HT, coating and machiningAbility to read blueprints and perform dimensional stacks for part processingWorking knowledge of gas turbine overhaul and maintenance manualsDemonstrated ability to run multiple work orders to achieve delivery and cost objectivesExperience with tool design and non-traditional manufacturing methods (EDM, Laser)Demonstrated working knowledge of aerospace quality systems: AS9100, FAR 145 requirements and ISO registrationAbility to generate labor and material assessments of component repair and overhaulManufacturing, Engineering andor Inspection experience highly desirableAP Mechanics licenses a plus3-years' experience using CADCAM software (including AutoCAD) desirableWorking knowledge of MPCS or equivalent Order Processing systemOngoing FAA training and testing requiredMust be able to work in a supportive team environment that is fast paced with a strong commitment to accountability.Benefits: Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)401K+ MatchingPTOBonuses
