Staff AccountantLHH Recruitment is currently looking for a Staff Accountant for a Client in Lenexa, KS. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting including accounts payable and receivable, payroll and account reconciliation. Our ideal candidate will have their Bachelor's in Accounting and at least 3 years of full cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience. This is an on-going contract opportunity that will be for at least 6 months with potential for extension. Pay for this role starts at $25hour and goes up based on experience. Read below for additional details!Key Responsibilities:Payroll Management:Process and manage the company's payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.Accounts Payable:Review and process vendor invoices and payments.Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate records.Monitor and manage the accounts payable aging report to ensure timely payments.Accounts Receivable:Generate and send out invoices to customers.Track and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collection.Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate records.General Accounting:Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.Prepare and maintain financial reports and statements.Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proven experience in payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate clearly and explain decisions. Research team questions and update with findings. Offer to help when caught up and know when to ask for help when behind.Ability to find solutions to existing and emergent problems that work with the team.
