About the Company Landin Services LLC is a third-party administrator that handles self-insured workers compensation programs. We specialize in the delivery of claims handling, administration, underwriting, excess insurance placement and loss control services with marketing to independent insurance agents for self-insured workers' compensation groups in Virginia.About the Role This full-time position is responsible for investigating and adjudicating Virginia workers' compensation lost time claims.Responsibilities Make contact with the insured, injured worker and physiciansAssign rehabilitation nurse if needed to assist in getting claimant back to workPay temporary total on weekly basis until injured worker returns to workPut bills in line for repricing and approve paymentsProcess agreement forms for the CommissionFile all medical reports with the CommissionMonitor claim until end and close fileFile for hearings if needed on fileAssign file to attorney for hearing or settlement evaluationAnswer calls from insureds, medical providers and injured workersRespond to orders and letters to the Commission in a timely mannerDocument all claim files appropriatelyQualifications Bachelor's degree preferredRequired Skills 5-7 years of experience as a workers' compensation claims adjuster preferredStrong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to prioritize to meet required deadlinesProficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually and in a team environment.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.Benefits Benefits: 401(k), Dental insurance, Flexible schedule, Health insurance, Paid time off, Vision insuranceAbility to Relocate: Richmond, VA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
