Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced journalist, moderator, and editor to support the development and delivery of GDS' world class events. Ultimately, you will help create and deliver insight led content aligned to our client's business goals. This role is instrumental to the development and delivery of a truly exceptional event experience.As an editor and presenter, you will be responsible for delivering captivating digital and physical interactions, setting the tone, and facilitating top-tier discussions. Serving as both a proficient technology journalist and the public persona of our events, you will play a pivotal role in helping broadcast our messaging internally and to a global audience through post-event analyses, insightful articles, podcasts, and video content.Candidates must have excellent writing and communication skills to be able to deep dive into a variety of industries and verticals. Travel is required as you will lead and moderate our executive roundtables and in-person events.You will be a core part of creating challenging, insight-led content, facilitating engaging and useful discussions, and delivering on our clients' business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch, write and deliver insights for the events, across a range of industries.Working with clients and stakeholders to ensure the programevent is aligned with the business needs.Manage client engagement and briefings.Prepare session synopses and roundtable questions.Host the event, preparing speeches, moderating discussions and roundtables, engaging and involving attendees.Write summit summarypost-summit reports along with articlesblogs on event experiences.Work with video team to create video for promoting events and event content.Working with stakeholders in the business to create bespoke content.Stay up to date with industry and vertical trends, and technologies to keep us at the cutting edge.Working with marketing team to deliver scheduled and ad-hoc pieces of content.Traveling domestically & internationally to host our in-person events.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseDemonstrable experience of public speaking in a B2B environmentProfessional copywriting experience (blogs, social media, newsletters, journalism)Editorial background requiredPresenting, moderating and event organization exposurePowerPoint and other major presentation software (Keynote, Prezi)Writing for social channelsExceptional communicator (written and verbal)Enthusiastic, charismatic, organizedAbility to demonstrate composure under pressureWarm personality with high energy, high engagement and a positive outlookWe can work long hours at an event.
