They seek a VP, Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to join their Jersey City, NJ office.ResponsibilitiesReview daily reports, including Trading P&L, Firm Inventory, and GL to subledger reconciliationsAssist the team with investigating reconciliation breaks as neededAssess quarterly Head Office reporting package and respond to requestsquestions from the banksAnalyze quarterly intercompany direct and indirect cost allocations and assist with invoicingMonitor daily cash reconciliations and work with Operations Group to clear the cash rec itemsPerform allocated month-end tasks, including calculating fee allocations and reviewing aged receivablespayablesManage and approve accounting entries posted to GL by junior staff as neededGather and review accounting policy and procedures prepared by junior staffSubmit requested workpapers to internal and external auditorsRequirements5+ years of accountingfinancial reporting experienceBrokerdealer financial industry background requiredKnowledge of securities broker-dealer businessExperience with financial products and regulatory reportingCPA and Series 27 are strongly preferredSkilled in Oracle is a plusJobID: 66356
