At the Virginia Department of Transportation, we have something for you. Our Location and Design Division is seeking an Engineer Supervisor - Photogrammetry to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Project Management: Use survey engineering and roadway hydraulic design and coordinate survey functions in accordance with project scheduling, and in support of VDOT programs. Manage multiple projects and adjust priorities as needed. Manage multiple projects and adjust priorities as needed. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices to include performance management and discipline. Knowledge of surveying and highway design practices, principles, and procedures. Ability to coordinate and administer multiple groups performing work in aerial photography, photogrammetry, survey, and support services. Skilled in planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating multiple programs, resources, and staff members. Ability to perform strategic planning, manpower estimating, budgeting, cost estimating. Licensed Surveyor. Advanced knowledge and experience in Photogrammetry and aerial photography. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers. Skill in the use of computers and web-based applications. Additional Considerations A combination of training, experience or education in civil engineering, photogrammetry, survey, Geographic Information Systems, or related field desired. Experience of the interrelationships of aerial photography and photogrammetric applications with other divisions; of project management; strong interpersonal relationships; communications.
