Key Responsibilities for Activity Programmers: Lead and Support Programming: Step in to implement activity programs when the regular programmer is unavailable, ensuring consistent engagement for all residents. Plan and Coordinate Activities: Assist in planning and executing unit-specific and facility-wide activities, including booking entertainment and researching new, innovative programs. Personalized Resident Engagement: Conduct one-on-one visits with residents who may not attend group activities, offering tailored support and interaction. Assist with Individual Projects: Help residents work on personal projects such as crafts, letter writing, reading, and other hobbies. Maintain Compliance: Complete all required documentation to ensure compliance with local, State, Federal, and Hooverwood standards, including MDS 3.0 assessments, attendance, and progress notes. Monthly Scheduling: Help with scheduling activities by creating the monthly calendar and assisting with staff scheduling to ensure seamless program delivery. Requirements Activity Programmer Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. Experience working with a geriatric population preferred. General knowledge of computers and Windows required. Must have the ability to interact with people in a positive and upbeat manner. Posses strong customer service skill Posses compassion for the elderly Activity Programmer Phy sical Requirements: Must function effectively under timelines and multiple demands. Must be able to fully and effectively communicate orally, understand and have the ability to write and type. Must be able to read normal print/script and computer generated type. Must have the ability to hear effectively Must have full use of both arms and legs. Must be ambulatory Must be able to push/pull residents in a wheelchair without assistance.
