Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a 16 bed unit that provides care to patients over the age of 18, primarily post surgical procedures, with life threatening or unstable status requiring intensive monitoring and interventional support. The SICU nursing team focuses on service excellence in care delivery, patient outcomes and staff satisfaction. The professional practice model guiding nursing towards mission achievement incorporates concepts from from primary care nursing in a Shared Governance environment. Utilize your in depth knowledge to mold yourself into a resource for patients and their families, and for other staff nurses.
