We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us. Job Description AECOM is seeking a Entry Level Water Site Civil Engineer to be based in Cleveland, Ohio. This position is expected to begin in May or June 2025. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Provides technical support for a variety of site civil and utility design related projects, including federal and commercial development as well as municipal storm and sewer collection, waterline and other utilities in regard to design, rehabilitation, master planning and construction administration. Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings. Work under supervision of a senior project manager in the water/wastewater/water resources practice or senior level team members. Utilize basic engineering principles, judgement, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems. Work on routine or detailed engineering assignments involving calculations and engineering analyses. Perform work with little supervision. Propose approaches to solve new problems. Identify discrepancies in outcomes, results, and analysis of engineering tasks. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Record field data using tablets and GPS units. Record and interpret data, conduct analyses, prepare reports, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance. Perform data gathering site visits, field measurements, mapping, and observations during construction. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Software use includes, but is not limited to: AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Bentley and/or hydraulic modeling packages. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering + none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications Progressive experience with water/wastewater utility planning, modeling, condition assessment, and design. Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and Hydrologic/Hydraulic models). Demonstrated time management skills, work ethic, and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with technicians, designers, engineers, and project managers for the preparation of high-quality work products. Ability to communicate and coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public as may be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives. Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment, and demonstrate growth potential as well as a desire to learn. Detail-oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project. Ability to multi-task. Flexible - can adapt to shifting priorities/work schedules. Able to work independently. Self-learner. Can take direction from others and in turn can guide others. Additional Information Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $56,000.00 - $70,000.00.
