Safety Manager

Global food manufacturing company seeks an experienced Safety Manager for their Indianapolis plant. Successful candidate must come out of food or similar process type industry. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and administration to the overall safety and security program by developing and driving execution of corporate plans. Insure the facility is compliant with all OSHA, FDA, Homeland Security, and Company standards. Develop safety and security performance standards and methods of accomplishing those standards for the facility. Understand relevant technical requirements in safety / environmental, including State and local ordinances and rules. Ensures the facility standards meet or exceed both company and governmental regulations. Drive training and coaching to insure Safety and Security standards and awareness are well understood throughout the organization. Ensure all appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow-ups are implemented in a timely fashion. Champion all safety improvements and ideas for the facility. Provide leadership and direction to facility management in regards to safety and security. Requirements: BS Safety or related with 5+ years safety experience, preferably in the food industry. Strong knowledge of OSHA and FDA standards
