Job Title: Design Engineer Job Description Design tank enclosures, detailed drawings, routings, shop floor docs, laser sheets. Create and maintain Engineering drawings, bill of materials, routings, and manufacturing programs. Process ECNs & Andon change requests as required. Maintain Engineering lead times in ERP system. Act as Engineering Liaison for shop activities. Review designs for manufacturability. Identify special requirements (new processes, tools, fixtures, inspection requirements, shipping brackets; work with CI). Responsible for the design and modeling of large sheet metal enclosures, including design, modeling, detailing, and working with the production floor until release. Manage and run individual projects. Maintain constant communication with vendors and customers regarding project completion. Work Environment Large privately held company with approximately 900 employees. Clean and fast-paced environment. The company designs and manufactures sheet metal enclosures and other special fabrications for metal cutting machines to meet OSHA requirements, safety concerns, coolant & chip containment, and to provide an aesthetically pleasing look to the machine.
