Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a General Office Clerk to join our team in Stratford, Connecticut. The General Office Clerk will play a pivotal role in our operations by providing administrative assistance, customer service, and data entry across various platforms. This role will require a high level of organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the team by organizing files, scheduling appointments, and handling shipping functions. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. Carry out data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Process customer credit applications and maintain accurate records. Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to create, format, and manage documents and spreadsheets. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on account status. Assist in the management of the customer service process, from initial contact through the resolution of issues. Use Microsoft Outlook to manage correspondence and schedule appointments. Carry out scanning tasks, ensuring that all documents are accurately digitized and stored in an organized manner. Contribute to the smooth running of the office by performing other related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word Experience with data entry tasks Excellent customer service skills Experience in administrative assistance Ability to organize and maintain files Experience with scanning documents Ability to schedule appointments effectively Familiarity with shipping functions Strong verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent time-management skills High school diploma or equivalent education level.
