Overview Bruker OST produces superconducting wire for the medical and scientific industries. Our products enable MRI machines that help diagnose medical conditions in hospitals and medical sites around the world. Our products also are vital components in some of the largest global scientific experimental devices such as particle accelerators for high energy physics research, and tokamaks for fusion energy research. Responsibilities The Senior Manager, Human Resources acts as a key consultant and advisor to plant management on HR issues at their plant. Act as a key consultant and advisor to management on Human Resources issues by identifying problem areas, proposing solutions to correct any issues, and executing those solutions in a timely manner.(e.g. recruitment, development, compensation and benefits, performance management, staff relations, statutory compliance, and communications) and support the achievement of the HR plan. Ensure all members of management apply all policies and regulations in a consistent manner by performing periodic audits of employee related actions. Assist all members of management in communicating expected goals and objectives to their direct reports and involve employees in decision-making processes in which they can have a direct positive impact. Manage the recruitment process for all hiring, for both internal and external job postings, in consultation with the management team; provide onboarding and orientations as required; devise retention strategies for all employees and complete exit interviews. Ensure all governmental and regulatory requirements are met by maintaining accurate records, submit all reports in a timely manner and insisting that all employees follow the required legal guidelines without deviation. Drive the performance management and leadership training processes throughout the facilities. Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees. Maintain the work structure by updating job descriptions for all positions. Create, revise, and develop policies and procedures as necessary and ensure that all communications surrounding these policies are clear and documented. Work with the EHS Manager to manage all work related or non-work-related leave of absence cases, claims, and the coordination of the RTW process when necessary. Manage and administer the attendance management program. Work closely with Payroll & Benefits to ensure compliance with all payroll and benefits related issues. Perform any other duties or participate in special projects as assigned. Define annual operating plans and budgets for the HR function and an annual HR plan for the business. Participate in business decision making as part of the senior management team. Advise people managers on operational HR. Monitor staff satisfaction and morale. Report relevant HR metrics to the President. Monitor and control the operational and financial performance of the HR function. Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers of HR services, e.g., recruitment agencies, local employers' association, salary survey clubs and SHRM. Co-operate with HR professionals and senior management in other parts of Bruker to achieve group-wide HR objectives such as consistent policy, key staff succession and development and the implementation of group-level HR policies. Maintain professional awareness of developments in the HR field, e.g., employment law, good HR practice, local employment market conditions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Certification in Human Resources by HRCI or SHRM Master's degree in related field a plus. 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources Management in a manufacturing environment. Ability to objectively coach employees and management through issues that may be complex, difficult, and emotional. Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or government law. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills. Bruker is an equal opportunity employer.
